Flash CMS overview
Despite a great variety of Flash CMS presented today, it still remains to be an unsolved problem. The needs today are high, and a worthy Flash CMS is expected to combine functionality and simplicity, flexibility and light weight. And it is not even a question of money: even among commercial content management systems it turns out to be hard to find a CMS that would suit the needs completely. In fact, it would be true to say that each of the CMS presented today is aimed to have one or two well-developed distinctive features. For instance, Flash Moto CMS is devoted to flexibility in design, Turtlebite Flash CMS Framework – to SEO, Flash Mint has 4 types of CMS, and each one is great for a certain type of websites. They all are one-sided, and very often good functionality turns out to be a privilege for professional developers.
Fancy Flash team has done a research on what features a CMS must posses to be good for developers and non-developers at the same time. When working on the CMS we present to you, we tried to embed as many features as possible into an intuitive interface.
One more goal we were aiming towards was to make the functions of Fancy Flash CMS be not limited to simple content editing. Fancy Flash CMS provides a wide range of possibilities, available directly from admin panel, and does not demand any technical knowledge or specific software.
Flash Mint CMS (Commercial)
Flash Mint offers SMS of 4 different types, so that you can choose the one that suit your needs: Flash CMS (3 versions), Business Flash CMS, eCommerce Flash CMS and Flash Page Flip CMS.

Silex CMS (FREE)
Silex is an open source content management system which provides layouts and themes to choose. But it is not being updated now, and due to this it does not suit contemporary needs.

FCMSPro (Commercial)
FCMSPro is a CMS which is said to be as easy to use as a word processor… In fact, it even seems to be more of a word processor, than of a CMS, as it presents a very narrow range of functions to the end-user. It is very old as a product, uses Actionscript 2.0 and it has been a long time since last update. Way too expensive as well.

FlashBlocks (Commercial)
Flash Blocks CMS is a content management system that comes with a lot of components. But the negative point is that the designs you can get using this CMS look very non-professional due to poor functionality of admin panel. In fact, the whole product seems to be a kind of out-of-date, especially for the price as high as it is. And additional licenses cost money as well.

FlashMoto (Commercial)
FlashMoto CMS is a rather well-developed CMS which allows to make beautiful designs. The problem is that to use it you need to purchase a web hosting from this company as well, and the license needs to be bought for each domain separately. Besides that, the admin panel is too overcrowded with elements and not convenient to use. In general, this would be a great product if it wasn’t so complex.

Turtlebite Flash CMS Framework (FREE/Commercial)
Turtlebite CMS is pretty good as a framework, but seems to be rather complex. Using Mysql is good for web developers, but does not work so well for end users. The good point is that this CMS works well for SEO.

Fancy Flash CMS
The novelty of Fancy Flash CMS is that you can edit not only content, but some element of design as well, and both of these changes can be made separately. This feature simplifies editing and helps create really beautiful websites. General features of Fancy Flash CMS can be narrowed to the following:
- SEO-friendly websites
- Fast to load and easy to use
- Can be managed with no skills and software
- Easy to modify design and layout
- E-Commerce support
- Blog and comments features included
- Video, image & sound galleries
In fact, it is hard to compare Fancy Flash CMS to other content management systems. It is not just a product of a higher level, it is a CMS of a brand new type, and it has no analogs today.
Fancy Flash CMS provides the end user with ability to edit design elements as well as content without a single code line and with no software required. All the changes can be made directly from the admin panel. As a result you get a 100% SEO-friendly website that can be easily crawled and indexed by search engines.
Such combination of functionality and simplicity, together with SEO optimization is a know-how for CMS today, and Fancy Flash hopes you’ll enjoy our product.
P.S. Here is the handy table, concluding and comparing all above:

You know, another great feature of any CMS (or any large project for that matter) is a development timeline, or maybe a roadmap, or even a target release date. Right now, I’d settle for a sidebar widget that simply said ‘In Development – Not Yet Available For Download’.
Anyone who reads this article from a feed reader or news aggregator will most likely come looking to download this ultimate flash cms, and because of the article they just read, will probably waste more time than they usually would in order to do so. Only after cycling through all 5 pages of your site two or three times, they will come to find out that the only reason its so hard to compare Fancy Flash CMS to any other CMS is because, for all intents and purposes, Fancy Flash CMS doesn’t even really exist yet.
I beg of you, help a developer save his/her precious time and clearly post on your pages that this project is not yet available for consumption. While they may be a tiny bit disappointed, they’ll still look forward to its release and more importantly they will more than likely subscribe to your news feed in order to be notified of the joyous event. I’m sure that you’re building a great product, and I look forward to its availability, but for now it looks like I’m off to see if I can find a download link for Aurora Flash.
