   at System.Net.FtpWebRequest.RequestCallback(Object obj)
   at System.Net.CommandStream.InvokeRequestCallback(Object obj)
   at System.Net.CommandStream.Abort(Exception e)
   at System.Net.CommandStream.CheckContinuePipeline()
   at System.Net.FtpWebRequest.DataStreamClosed(CloseExState closeState)
   at System.Net.FtpDataStream.System.Net.ICloseEx.CloseEx(CloseExState closeState)
   at System.Net.FtpDataStream.Dispose(Boolean disposing)
   at System.IO.Stream.Close()
   at FancyPlus.BusinessObjects.Helpers.FTPHelper.UploadFileToFTP(FTPSettings f)

The problem may be with the server settings, for example some of the servers do not accept files with [] in the names of the files. We highly recommend skip using Yahoo and Networksolutions.

Admin-

Good to see you.  Here's what I posted over at the Flashmint site in regards to what I'm using:

"I'm using hostgator. Is there a way to use my
own FTP program? If so, where do I access the web template on my hard
drive…I know this sounds silly, but all I'm able to find is the .ftp
template from flashmint. It seems the fancyCMS program unpacks it, but
keeps it hidden? or am I missing it all together? Please advise."

Thank in advance for your response.

Hello, nice to meet you too. Your ftp program won't help much, FTP protocol is a standart and all ftp clients function the same. We use a couple of hostgators servers as well and everything works smoothly, may I have a look at your .fcp project file(it can be found in /MyDocuments/FancyPlus1.0 or folder)?

Thank you.  I've uploaded 4 test sites on my webserver using filezilla without an issue.  Seperate from those I tried to test three sites I was given on the bundle (FancyCMS .fcp sites) that I purchased, all three gave the same error as above.  What was funny though, is it uploaded several folders and files onto the site before giving the error.  Please help me answer that one and the following:

  • Can I use another FTP program or is your FancyCMS files/sites only set to work internal to the Fancy editor?
  • On my files, I can't access these right now…at work.  Later tonight I'll submit them to you.

Hi again. Yes theoretically you can use any ftp program to upload unpacked files used by FancyPlus while editing. To give you more details on this I also need to know your order id and windows version your computer is running(XP, Vista, 7?)

Yes please supply the info on where these upacked files are.  If I knew where these resided, I could care less about using the internal FTP function.  From everything I tested, I like the program and its interface. Again, just an issue with the http://FTP.  I'd prefere to use filezilla anyway, but lets see where this goes.

I would also be intrested in unpacking the files.

Thearian – I had the same issue..Make sure under URL it is the same URL as your target folder..So my test folder is "flash3"

it should look like this:

URL:domain.com/flash3

FTP ip:xxx

username:xxx

password:xxx

target folder: /flash3

I had the same issue, and that fixed it. Was even like that when i made multiple target folders, the URL is what killed me.

Hope it helps.
